The Praxis I is a series of three pre-professional skill tests that are used by states and universities to measure the basic knowledge of aspiring teachers. The exams cover Mathematics, Reading, and Writing Skills.

The Praxis I Mathematics Pre-Professional Skills Test (0573) is a seventy-five minute computer-based exam with 46 multiple choice questions. The Praxis Math exam is designed to evaluate the quantitative concepts and skills needed by potential school teachers.

There are four categories on the Praxis I Mathematics exam:

  • Geometry and Measurement
  • Data Analysis and Probability
