The PRAXIS II Social Studies exam is administered by the Educational Testing Service on various dates during the year to prospective high school teachers who wish to prove their knowledge of the basic principles of Social Studies, including U.S. history, geography, and political science. Passing scores are set by the individual states, and applicants may take the exam depending on the dates given by their closest testing center. This exam is taken in paper or computerized form. Applicants may retake the paper form as many times as they choose, while they must wait 30 days to retake the computerized test.
