PQ answers your questions! Which community colleges in Boston?

A reader in Japan asks: Could you suggest a good community college for my Japanese friend to study business a good, safe location in the Boston area? This is the list of community colleges in Massachusetts. • Berkshire Community College, Pittsfield • Bristol Community College, Fall River • Bunker Hill Community College, Boston/ Chelsea • Cape Cod Community College, West Barnstable • Greenfield Community College, Greenfield • Holyoke Community College, Holyoke • Massachusetts Bay Community College, Wellesley Hills/Framingham • Massasoit Community College, Brockton/Canton • Middlesex Community College, Lowell/Bedford • Mount Wachusett Community College, Gardner/Leominster • Northern Essex Community College, Lawrence/Haverhill • North Shore Community College, Danvers/Lynn/Beverly • Quinsigamond Community College, Worcester • Roxbury Community College, Boston • Springfield Technical Community College, Springfield Of these, I would probably recommend MassBay as being in the best neighborhood close to Boston. It is about 20 minutes from downtown Boston in a nice leafy suburb. Cape Cod and Mount Wachusett will also be safe but they are further away from Boston in scenic places. The other place that would be good is UMass/Boston which is close to the Red Line and in a OK neighborhood on the waterfront a bit south of Boston. He could live in Quincy. There are also a lot of good ExecEd programs in Boston, almost all the top schools have them. There is MIT Sloan Fellows, HBS Advanced Management program, etc. Just depends on his budget.
